The Old Baldy Foundation is a non-profit organization established for the preservation of Old Baldy Lighthouse on Bald Head Island, NC, and for the promotion of and education about the man-made histories of Smith Island.
The Osman Foundation exists to help K-12 students reach their full potential through academic and enrichment programs.
Following is an overview of a few of our programs that support our mission.
Chatham Girls 4STEM works with 5th and 6th grade girls to stimulate an interest in continuing to pursue science, technology, engineering, arts and math studies. This program exposes girls to the opportunities to grow with hands-on exploration with actual engineers. This program inspires girls to shine in these areas and instills confidence that they can excel.
Reach Your Potential is a program that teaches social skills that require cooperation through a outdoor adventure activities. Students work together to solve problems, make decisions and stretch their boundaries.
ReadWithMe is a unique read-aloud program that pairs First Grade students with trained volunteers on a weekly basis to share and interact with high quality books.
STEM Challenge Week is a middle school program that puts hands on design, engineering and construction skills to the test. Osman Foundation experts work with Science Teachers to provide an in-school learning adventure.
STEM Field Trips are offered to 6th grade students that pair adventure activities with Science and Math experiments. Data is collected that is used for statistics educations modules back in the classroom. Science is brought to life through field application and integration of concepts.
The mission of The Park CDC is "to create sustainable change within marginalized communities by investing in solutions to affordable housing, healthy living, and economic mobility."
The Partnership Project, Inc. establishes structures that respond to, empower and facilitate communities
in defining and resolving issues related to racial disparities.
To promote the art of handbell ringing to the widest possible audience by performing advanced handbell music throughout North Carolina and the country.

Building the capacity of people, agencies, and communities to work together more efficiently by providing consultation, technical assistance, and program management for projects focused on improving the health and wellbeing of mothers, children, and families.
