We advocate for those individuals incarcerated in our prisons. We speak out for those without a voice by raising public awareness to the issues that adversely impact people incarcerated, their families and public safety. We identify serious problems people incarcerated face and bring them to the forefront of our policymakers for effective reform. We advocate for restorative rehabilitation to prevent the cycle of crime and recidivism. We advocate for effective and reliable programs for re-entry support and laws that will prevent adverse collateral consequences that ostracize people from returning to society after prison. We promote the dignity, well being and humane treatment of people in custody and advocate for alternatives to incarceration for non-violent crimes and treatment alternatives for the seriously mentally ill. Our Mission
NNCP exists to lift Black and Brown people. We work to help communities of color claim their power through civic engagement.
WHY ARE WE DOING THIS WORK?
The New North Carolina Project Foundation exists to engage, empower, educate and activate communities of color to become more involved in the civic processes that directly impact their lives through education, empowerment and engagement. With nearly one million eligible North Carolinians of color statewide who did not participate in the 2020 presidential election, opportunities abound to reach new voters, expand the electorate, and create a more representative voting body. We work primarily to support four pillars of society: housing, economic mobility, safety and civic engagement.
Next Step Development Corporation is a newly formed nonprofit and our mission is to provide permanent supportive housing for individuals experiencing homelessness by providing micro housing and tiny home villages. We create a supportive environment including case management, job training, life skills training and substance use counseling.
This Foundation was created for Noah Hays who was first diagnosed with Stage 4 Cancer in 2015. We lost our sweet Noah on June 3, 2018 but we keep his legacy alive by doing good deeds in his memory.
The Mission of the NoahStrong Foundation is to significantly improve the quality of life and emotional well-being of pediatric cancer patients and their families by providing financial, emotional and spiritual support.

Many common problems exist among the counties of North Carolina and, where common problems exist, cooperation is necessary. The objectives of the organization shall be: to perpetuate and develop the Association as an agency for cooperation among the counties of North Carolina; to investigate, study, discuss and recommend improvements and the application of more efficient methods in county government; to provide and/or administer joint programs for counties and related entities, such programs to include, but not be limited to insurance, risk management and capital finance programs; to provide means whereby county officials may interchange ideas and experiences and obtain expert advice; to collect, compile, and distribute to county officials information about county government and the administration of county affairs; to provide the legislature and the public with information necessary for the passage of sound legislation beneficial to the administration of county affairs, and to oppose legislation injurious thereto; and to do any and all things necessary and proper for the benefit of counties in the administration of their affairs.
