The news of Andrea Harris’ death spread quickly and widely. Born in 1948 she passed over on May 20, 2020. In the days since she died, her life is being celebrated by so many - personal friends, professional colleagues and a loving family. I join with all those who have expressed their love and admiration to add mine.

Managing a nonprofit’s finances is no small or easy task. Nonprofits and those who seek to do good while making a difference in our communities are to be commended for their ability to manage resources and revenue. More often than not, nonprofits make a way when many would say there appears to be no way. To make things happen for the good, they become creative as they leverage financial support with in-kind donations and volunteer labor.

Our goal was to engage in a strategic planning process, not with the intention to reinvent our mission, vision, or values, but to figure out the next steps in the evolution of the organization. We had many inquiries but not many answers.
